July is Cooking

Absolutely cooking. I mean melting and burning up. Hot. Hot. Hot

I'm melting. Melting in my windowless studio. 31 degrees. Working on new material. Camped out in deep South London. Training up, gearing down, cutting away the excess, rebuilding, new sounds, new skills, new independence. I will keep you posted.......

Cinema Of Dreams

It was a dream line up at London's classic cinema turned nightclub. Tickets were sold out instantly and rumored to be selling on the internet for about £80 (not to mentioned three different scalper's who tried to sell me tix on the way in, cheeky!) This night I played along side.....

Aeroplane, Busy P, Brodinski, Feadz, Dave Clarke, Xavier from Justice, Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Mehdi, Crookers, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots, Rory Phillips, Mickey Moonlight, Justin Robertson, Midfield General, Glimmers, Headman, Vicarious Bliss....ahh sigh, the list is exhausting!.........

It was my booking agency's 10th anniversary and to celebrate they organized a massive charity-rave-up-disco-danfloor-destroyer-of-a-party. Because it was a charity and no one was being paid to play, I think it made for a very different dynamic at work; more play than work. And like the red velvet curtains still hung in the main room the love was flowing, the ravers eyes as wide as the two massive mirror balls shimmering from the endless ceiling. On the balcony the venue looked spectacular, and that is something rare to be said about a London venue. Although it's ambitious to fill, I hope people use will use the place more often in the future.

We only had short one hour sets to play, so I opted to freewheel my way around a set of new classics, oddities and heavyweights, free associating from Disco to Dubstep. Here is my set recorded live on the night:
